Step-by-Step Guide to Seller Verification on Owode
Owode Marketplace requires seller verification to ensure trust and security for buyers. Follow these steps to verify your account and access full seller benefits.
Step 1: Access the Verification Page
- Log in to your Owode Seller Dashboard.
- Go to Settings > Verification.
Step 2: Upload Required Documents
You must upload minimum three verification documents for approval:
1. Passport (Required)
- Upload a clear photo of your international passport (front page).
- If you don’t have a international passport, use your professional passport photograph.
2. National ID (Required)
- Upload a scanned copy of your National Identity Number (NIN) slip or National ID card (front and back).
3. Address Verification (Required)
Fill out all address fields accurately and attach a document with the same address. Make sure the document is up-to-date and the required fields are filled.
If your store address is not aligned with your document, you can consider updating your store address in settings
- Upload a utility bill, bank statement, or any document showing your registered address.
3. Company Verification (Optional)
Upload your company’s registration documents.
- This is your CAC registration documents
- Upload the following documents
- Memart (Memorandum & Article of Assocation)
- CAC Certificate
- Application for Registration of Company (i.e. the Status report)
Step 3: Submit for Approval
- Click Start Verification for each document.
- Ensure your uploads are clear, readable, and match your registered details.
- Once submitted, Owode’s team will review and approve your documents.
Step 4: Check Your Verification Status
- Approved documents will show “Your verification request is Approved.”
- If rejected, you will get a notification with the reason and next steps.
Common Verification Issues & How to Fix Them
Blurry or unreadable documents → Upload a clearer version. Mismatch in names or details → Ensure the details match your Owode seller profile. Expired ID documents → Upload a valid, up-to-date document.
You can now receive the prestigious ‘verified’ mark on your seller profile card
You are now a verified seller on Owode Marketplace – once you complete the verification and it is approved !
